On Tuesday, 1st August, Warrawong High School Year 10 - 12 students participated in the RTA interactive roadshow compared by former Australian cricketer, Shane Lee and featuring representatives from the NSW Speed Blitz Blues Cricket team, fast bowler Brett Lee and Jason Krejza.

During the roadshow, students were invited to bowl as quickly as they could and their speed was clocked and displayed digitally by a speed camera. Students were then awarded a speeding ticket by a member of the local police, with the clear message "Make this the only speed ticket you get." Students then bowled a second ball at a slower pace and learnt the valuable lesson of "slow down, take control".

Students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the opportunity to interact with the Speed Blitz blues. However, the serious message about the dangers of speeding was well reinforced to all.
