The role and leadership presence of the SRC has increased markedly this year. As a group, the SRC students have played an increasing role in decisions about school improvements, fund raising for various charities and as school representatives at forums and community consultations.

There has been an increase in the number, quality and level of student participation at our very successful dance parties. These provided a safe, supervised venue for students to enjoy dancing and socialising with their friends. Fundraising is a major focus and each SRC year group organise school participation in Icee days, Crazy Hair day and Mufti days to raise money for our sponsored child. Our SRC members attend district and state SRC meetings and one Yr8 student has been elected to the regional SRC. He was also involved in developing a presentation on values education in NSW public schools. In 2006, the SRC will focus on developing student leadership skills and a busy schedule of charitable activities with all Warrawong students.
