Students studying History learn to appreciate significant historical events , places and issues that have shaped our world and the way that history has been recorded over time. Their investigations begin in Years 7 and 9 with Ancient Societies and progress through to modern events including a detailed study of Australian History in Years 9 and 10.

They are encouraged to evaluate the importance of History in understanding the development of the modern world and the role of individuals as informed participants in Australian society.
