Uniform Policy
Warrawong is a uniform school and it is expected that all students will wear school uniform every day. This helps students to develop a sense of belonging and it creates a good impression in the community. In the long run, uniforms are cheaper and more serviceable than ordinary clothing. Any parent experiencing financial difficulty in providing uniform for their child should approach the school for assistance. Students who wear unacceptable clothing to school will be sent home to change or will be expected to change into a uniform provided at school.
Excursions
Excursions are an important part of the total learning experience. They teach students life skills and add meaning and relevance to the curriculum. Excursions are planned carefully to ensure they offer educational benefits and that they are safe and appropriate in terms of student supervision and participation. Parent permission is required before a student can attend an excursion. Students are expected to behave appropriately and the same rules apply as at school. Students on Level 3 cannot go on excursions while those on Level 2 may go if teachers are convinced that the student has made a concerted effort to co-operate in the week leading up to the excursion.
